Finally, he served in four church plants: Infinity Church in Maryland; Christ Our King Community Church in Raleigh, NC; Church on the Rock as Lead Pastor in Raleigh, NC; and Blueprint Church in Atlanta, GA (Missional Communities Pastor). Outside of ministry, he was the Director of Research and Development for a non-profit organization called Jobs for Life, where he was responsible for shaping a curriculum based on the Christian worldview of working.

God has blessed him with a variety of experiences to reach a wide array of people. He currently leads a growing, young, diverse church called Bridge Church in downtown Brooklyn, NY. They currently have two services at 4 & 6 pm next to the Barclay Center. James has been married to Natarsha since 2003 and they have three daughters: Faith, Leah, and Sophia.
